Bio.

Elora Kang (b. Jeju Island, South Korea raised in NY, NY) is a New York based photographer, visual artist, and creative director.  Her first muse was the street art and artists that surrounded her as a kid and young adult.  With both adoptive parents being from the Bronx, she had access to document the world she felt around her.

Elora found that art was the only way to adequately communicate with the world, whether it was through imagery, graffiti, documenting social justice, and even injustices, along with the movement of individuals.  She plans to continue to dedicate her works to what conscious art looks like, could look like, and that it still even exists in a world of constant fast-paced social media and consumerism.

Personal projects focus on Koreans and adoptees working across many platforms to explore and document Asian American lives, culture, assimilation, childhood, and their future.

Her work has been shot with color film ranging from 35mm, 120 film, large format, Polaroid and Super8mm.

Elora has extensive experience in production coordination and project management.  She is a full-time freelance artist specializing in design (graphic and clothing), casting, events, publication, post-production, and editorial.
